day book entry 1|23

In today's society, kids have become more manipulative and lead their parents to believe that their failure is the teachers fault. I thought back to high school when I babysit this family once a week after school. The kids were 5 and 7 and I learned from them that children in today's society are maturing quicker than my generation. I saw first hand how these 2 boys could manipulate their way into getting the things they wanted. Are the parents to blame for children's growing manipulation skills?

  1. You are right about how kids today are maturing quicker than we did when we were children. Today, kids are being taught how to count and read at a very early age. I dont't know who to blame for their manipulation skills. I think that television could play a big role because even some of the kids shows that they watch are somewhat corrupt with things that they shouldn't know yet. However, I think that parents could be to blame as well.

  2. I believe its just the way our soceity is growing. The human race is always growing and changing and not always for the best. I have a sister who is a freshmen in high school and its already so different from when i was there just 2 years ago. I blame it all on technology.
